rim change alignment

i know this may sound like a stupid question, but if i change the rims on my firebird to a different set, will i need to get my front end re-aligned? or can i just jack it up and change it without any other modding?

only if the size and overal specs are equal. change in diameter in anyway and you should get them aligned.

Kandied,
My gut feeling is that it would be fine to just go for it. How come it has to be done?

As long as you dont change the suspension geometry, your alignment should be ok. The only reason I would goto an alignment shop in this situation is to get the new wheels balanced (if they haven't been balanced already).

that's all i was saying............

you change the specs you should adjust to meet the requirements.

i know in my case i don't mind spending the 30 or so bucks it costs if i can get more life out of my 1,000+ set of tires. if you don't care and everything seems good then go with it.
