Edelbrock strut tower brace for tbi

hmmm,
i just received the piece and i assembled it to check if all parts are there or not. It looks complete. But i have a question to the ones of you who have the part installed. I noticed that the diameter of the bolts which hold the main brace to the support brackets is smaller than the hole in the brace. That gives the brace room to move around unless one tightens the nuts. My idea of a towerbrace is that it is a stiff piece. Will the tightened nuts put enough pressure against the bracket that the brace can't move?
And by the way, sorry for my crappy english...

I don't expect a big difference. Last week i installed SFC's and i can feel an improvement but i won't call it a big one....but since the dang convertibles flex so much i suppose i should do everything to stiffen the chassis....

When I put mine in I felt a little bit of a difference. I want to get a wonder bar to to really stiffen this up.

Yes they work. This is the first thing I did and I instantly felt the difference. Then I installed my SFCs and "WOW" a new car.... I've just received my wonderbar which I will install once I get back from Spain vacation

Adding my STB improved handling by 100%. Funny bar after that another 20%. Great fun to drive now.

whats a funny bar?

BTW back to the STB, you will be fine, the point of the brace is to keep the strut towers equal distance apart from each other, even with those bolts not tightened all that much, it will do that.

Funny bar does a similar job to the STB, but it's mounted under the car, where the anti-roll bar is attached behind the radiator. I believe they came as an option on some IROC/Z28's.

You know why they call it a wonder bra, don't ya? Cause when the woman takes it off, all the guys wonder where her **** went.
(This might be a wonder post for me. As in....I wonder if I'm gonna get banned... )

Installed the piece today. I have to say it ROCKS! Front end is stiffer now and 60 percent of the dashboard noises are gone. If you have a convertible, i suggest you go and get one asap.

I bought one (Edelbrock Strut Tower Brace for TBI/carb.) but in the rush to get it I didn't check that it wouldn't fit on cars with the A/C on the driver's side... does any one want to buy it? $120 takes it!
