sway bars

ok, i've searched for this and could not find it.
I have an 83 Z/28 and i need to replace the front sway bar. can I use one from a ws6 Trans Am?
please help

will it make that much of a difference if I upgrade to a ws6 or a 1le sway bar?

Yes. The most popular sizes I've seen are the "WS6" 36mm front and 24mm rear bars, also found on some Irocs. These are about the best bars out there. Also, don't pass up a 34mm front bar. It's also a great upgrade part and is the more popular and easier found size. I've seen these bars go for only $10.

i upgraded my friends v6 camaro with my old sway bars ad i must say that it handles so much better now.
