Looking for part numbers for 1LE master cylinder and proportioning valve

As it says, does anyone know the part numbers for the 1LE master cylinder and prop valve?

Thanks

There is 2 different prop valves depending on the year. Which year do you need?

Justin,

My car is an 87 with 10.5" front with the drum rear. I'm just looking for the part numbers as I'm going to be upgrading at least the front brakes and believe I need a different master cylinder and prop valve.

Instead of the 1LE prop valve, would I be better off with an adjustable?

Thanks

Rob

Rob,

Read this 1LE alternative post I've linked to below. Specifically the end of page 3 and page 4. I swapped on the C4 front brakes and raced my car this weekend and posted my experiences with the new front brakes. We had 24 autocross runs total and the balance is great with my 87 disk/drum car with the C4 front brakes swapped on. I wouldn't worry about getting a different prop valve or M/C until you go to disks on the rear.

My hardy thanks to Justin for encouraging me to go ahead and put the C4 brakes on without a new prop valve or M/C. It worked out really well for me.

When I go to the disks on the rear, then I will swap the prop valve out, but not until then. From what I read, you do not need to swap the M/C when going to disks in the rear.

If you have rear drums, there is no need to change the MC or prop valve. The only cars that need the to change to the J50 MC are cars with the iron rear caliper discs.

For the prop valve with 4 wheel disc up to 89.5, the p/n is 14089496. 89.5 to 92 is p/n 10136840. The pitch of the brake line threads changed midway in 89.

Just for some reassurance. When I changed my brakes on my 87 GTA to the 1LE Rear Calipers from Iron Calipers I changed my Master Cylinder and Prop Valve to one from an 86 IROC.

The Drum Brake Master Cylinder and Prop Valves from any year will work with the 1LE Brakes.

82-89 and 89-92 are slightly different.

The tube nuts have different threads and will not work.. TRUST ME

I belive the 82-89(early) are M1.0
89-92 are M1.5

I was gonna retube my existing line with M1.5 tube nuts to use the 89-92 Master / Prop Valves and was unsuccessful in finding them anywhere.

I have had no issues with my 86 drum brake master/prop with my PBR Front and Rear Calipers
