Quick ratio steering box, sitting in basement for 3 years

So I've got the quick ratio box... had it for 3 years, just sitting in the basement, in it's original shipping carton. Think it's safe to install? They don't go bad just by sitting in a box, right? It's not like it was outside in the rain with the ports collecting water...

The only thing I've usually noticed that'll go bad on a steering box is the seals, and this usually doesn't occur unless the box has been sitting out in the weather for a good number of years without being used. My buddy had the seals blow out on his 69 Chevelle project, but it had sat dormant outside for roughly ten years. I'd be confident to go ahead and throw it in I were in your position.

Pat, thanks for the reply! I'll give it the once-over after hooking it up; if it doesn't leak, I'll go for a ride! Thanks!
