Seriously, if you need to pull a boat, get a truck.

I had one on my car for a short time in order to deal with a one-time situation.

It bolts to the underside of the "frame", near the exhaust hangers, and the the center of the bumper impact bar. Not very hard to make. Very cheap to buy, I think I paid about $75 installed.

Don't count on pulling a very big boat. A jet-ski is about all I'd want to risk dangling off the end of a bunch of my car's sheet metal like that.

F bods are rated at 1000 lbs for towing. that ain't much when you factor the trailer in.

Correct. Our cars are rated at 1000 lbs towing capacity and 100 lbs tongue weight. Yes I have a trailer hitch on my 90 RS 'vert. I used to pull my HILO travel trailer and a tandem PWC trailer. The hitch I have was really cool looking. It was made by Draw-Tite and called their "Sportsman" model. It has since been discontinued, but they have another version with the same name that replaced it. Their original version was much better IMO. When not in use it has a low flat plastic piece that pops into the trailer receiver hiding it. The model that replaced it has a standard square tube receiver. It works, but looks ugly by comparison. I've retired the Camaro as a tow vehicle since '94 when I bought my first truck.

I've pulled a 21 foot bayliner with my trans am, I believe it was rated a 2200lbs, and all I can say is listen to the manufactures rating, I towed the boat about 40 times with the car, and yes it showed fatigue alot of creaking, the springs are now shot as well as the shocks, this is a T-Top car as well, in my opinion it doesn't matter if you have a class 2 hitch or class three, though the hitch may be rated to carry it the car was never designed to pull this kind of weight, I have 4 wheel disc brakes on the car and they weren't even close to adequate, and in case you were wondering ... no the car never experienced any overheating trouble, keep in mind the weight balance on a f-body and know how to properly set your tongue weight, because a 2200 lb whatever can quikly take over the car and make a really bad day for you

When I bought my GTA, it had a class II hitch. The guy said he used to tow a couple of jetskis. It came off the first day i had it. Like colonboy said, if you need to pull a boat get a truck.
