I need a good street drag tire........
Can anyone suggest a good sticky rear tire? I am running BF Goodrich Radial TA's P265/50R16's on the rear. The tires feel "mushy" and I can light them up pretty easy from a stop. Luckily there isn't any noticable rear wheel hop thanks to the Edelbrock rear suspension package. I have been considering the BF Goodrich drag radials. Would it be a good investment?

i know this isnt really helping you or answering your question, but ill be buying new rear tires soon and was wondering how you thought these tires did for drag racing compared to other tires? it just seems like an ideal size.
You should run a Mcreary (American Racer Tire), they are very soft tires and they work a lot better than the BFG's. They come in G60 (26"x8") or L60 (28"x9.5"). They are also a lot cheaper than the BFG's.

I runn Nitto 555r drag radials. On my sencond set. work well cold on the street, hook up great when heated at the dragstrip and the car is driveable when the roads are wet although I do try to avoid wet roads.

Thanks for the suggestions guys I am looking into the different brands you all mentioned!
To answer the above question....for everyday street driving the all-season BF Radials are good. If you can't afford the uni-directional sport tires these will do just fine. The ride is quite but I find the tires are mushy and I wouldn't recommend them either for drag or high-speed handling. Since tires are somewhat of a larger priced purchase, I would suggest saving up the few extra bucks for the uni-directional sport tires or drag street radial ( if a straight line is the only thing important to you). Save the all-seasons for the family car. I used to have Bridgestone Potenza's and Toyo T1'a on the camaro.....loved both. Ya I would say save up a few bucks and do it right the first time. You'll be glad you did in the long run. That's just my opinion.
