Wilwood 6 piston brakes

I was looking around Jegs today and found the Wilwood 6-piston F-body kit for '93-'97.

I was wondering if this setup might work in a '91 Camaro with 17x9.5 inch firehawks from SLP(aka Ronal R15s).

http://www.jegs.com/cgi-bin/ncommerc...94&prmenbr=361

If they did fit I imagine I would have to get a power booster of some sort.

Any help would be appreciated!

To fit em you'd have to remake your own bracket, and turn a set of stock rotors down to just hubs.

You'd be better off buying some wilwood calipers, a pair of 12" 1LE rotors, and making some brackets.

There's just no cheap way of getting half *** brakes for are cars...
I'm finding it's cheaper to make the car lighter, and beefing up the exsisting brakes

The baer 4 piston 13" is $2400

The 6 piston 13.5" is $3800

He was looking at 6 pistons and 13" for 1300 bux, didnt seem too bad to me.

Thanks guys,

From what I've seen $1300 for those brakes is a good buy...sucks they won't work on my setup. Maybe I should fork out some bread and get a kicken set of Baer's(But $4000 for 13.5"!!!, my ***!!).

The reason for these monster brakes is that I am in the final stages of having a 454 installed in my '91 Camaro and I want to be able to stop that thing on a dime if the need arises.(there are a lot of deer in Wisconsin)

The search continues....

although i would not put the PBR caliper in the same league as the wilwood stuff. i saw a 4 piston superlite, with 12.75" C5 rotors this weekend, and man, that is some impressive hardware!

Ahhhh.... That is a 4th gen kit. Naa-gonna work on a 3rd gen.... ever.

With a little elbow grease and some grinding/cutting you can get C5 or LS1 or C4 brakes for a pretty decent price. Otherwise the 1le or Baer kits are all there is.....

........ for now .

I'd say you have been mis-informed!

Dewey did see a wilwood setup for a 3rd gen. It was mine

steve , are you thinking of offering the 6 piston superlite calipers as on option on your kit?

The 6 piston calipers have less piston area that the 4 piston calipers do, and cost substantially more. And, a 6 piston caliper is physically much larger and will not clear stock wheels.

So, the answer is no.
