plans for new suspension/steering
Howdy.
I've been reading over the other posts in this forum, but didn't want to rip off their threads with my questions.
I bought my formula used, and want to overhaul the front end. The idler arm has to go, and center link wiggles all over the place. Probably everything else isn't far behind. The list of moog parts in an earlier post seems like the right stuff, but considering I get 20% off all Pep Boys purchases, how much better are they? My gut feeling is go with moog, but I'd like to hear your opinions. Any other good parts to look into?
My shocks are certainly shot and the springs are feeling their 15 years of wear. I think I'll go with KYB shocks/struts, but I can't decide on springs. with new 245/50/16's, the bottom of the door is about 10" from the ground, about 2.5" between tire and fender.
What is stock height? Would an eibach or suspension techniques spring kit (1" drop) be much different in stance than my current sagging?
Thanks!
sorry for the long post, but there's so much I don't know!
