Wheel Adapters
I want to extend my rear wheels out about two inches, has anyone done this with adapters? Are there any draw back from using adapters? Any safety issues ? I got center line wheels 17x8 and 245/45 17 tires. The rims have a 5 inch backspace and it makes the tires look to tuck in. I want them out at least to the wheel well.

There's a set of rear spacers in the classifieds at the moment.
You could move them out by simply installing a 4th gen rear.

I have the skulte 2" adapters on my car and I've been drifting, taking hard turns, raced at over 150+mph, etc. And I checked them out and their still doing perfectly fine. No cracks, still on tight, no signs of wear, etc.
