What broke/ Came loose???
At first on the passenger side front...it sounded like a rattle...like a chain.
go over speed bumps...sounded like a chain rattling.
I was going to get it checked, but now___
i was driving down the road and heard a smack under the passenger side gloor board (passenger felt something hit the floor board)
and now it grinds like the brake pad is bad on the passenger side.
and when i cut the wheel sharp (parking/reverse) it grinds/thwacks.
fun fun fun

Have you crawled under to take a look yet? Try shaking the exhaust pipe; make sure the intermediate pipe isn't getting hit by the driveshaft's u-joint (caused by loose/missing panhard rod bolt)- but i doubt that's it; your car would be wandering down the road on it's own, and pretty badly, too.
I've been dealing with something similar - grinding noise on left turns, a weird clunk while doing a three point turn, etc. When I had new tires put on, the mechanic only pointed out a bad idler arm. Maybe that's something to check? Be sure to tell me if you figure it out.

Might be. My upper mount bearing on the passenger side wore out; it gave a "groan" noise when turning the wheel. When I changed them out, you couldn't tell there was ever a bearing in there! (oops)

I read on another web site (I'll try to find it) that the thump under the passenger's floor board was probably caused by a broken transmission mount. Maybe something worth checking out.
