what causes this is the torque arm attached to the tranny. everytime you accelerate, the torque arm pushes up on the tranny. one way to solve this is to get a spohn torque arm kit. mounts the torque arm to the crossmember. or can get an energy suspension tranny mount. but still the torque will push up on it. just take longer before it rips apart.

Oil leaks can also weaken the factory rubber mount. Mine tore and Ireplaced it with an Energy supension part. Ride quality is different, but only slightly and I am very sensitive. Energy Suspension mounts also have an interlocking metal setup so that if the poly does fail, the metal inside the poly will keep movement to a minimum.

on my past thirdgens i always replaced with rubber ones, and everytime i still seemed to weaken them over time, so i finally went with a prothane one for my formula and it is really strong, plus since i went with a spohn ta i bought the tranny mount from him also.
