hope this goes here...wheel issues
HEy guys. When I bought my car, the wheels made a clicking sound when turning and also scraping noises ( the guy let the brakes wear down to nothing, so the front discs were shot!!)
anyway, I took it in, got the tranny rebuilt and the wheels all fixed nice and neat. All problems went away, as everything was replaced....brake pads, rotors, and bearings. Well now, the clicking noise when turning has come back (shortly after the fix I might add!) and I took it back in and they lifted it up and said it wasn't a bearing and that some bushing is starting to fail, and that the front end is going to need a rebuild. I personally think they are full of crap, caues usually a clicking wheel is a sign of a bad bearing is it not? If this is so, do you think the fact that my car is lowered, so the frame takes the impact?? thakns in advance, I'd really like to hear what you think!
thanks

you need to reduce the size of the pic in your sig so you don't have to scrool over to read the thread. my guess is your front end needs rebuilt, some bushing or something is about to fail, like you were told.

My friends dad builds cars, and raced em for years. he says it sounds like a bad bearing, and seeing that that is what was bad before that "fixed" it(which i come to find out was only a repacking) I am leaning toward bad bearings. It used to only do it around corners, now its starting to do it driving straight, and i KNOW that a bad ball joint doesn't make noise driving straight. even if it was a bad ball joint it still doesn't constitute an entire front end rebuild....
thanks!
thanks!
