I replaced my steering box with a Cardone remanufactured box because my old one was leaking fluid, and I also changed out the rag joint. The new box had a 15-degree dead spot in it, and tightening the adjustment didn't help. What's strange is that it has been a few weeks since i put it in and adjusted it, and this morning the dead spot was gone. Has anyone ever heard of a dead spot fixing itself? I'd hate for it to be one of things that fixes itself right before it breaks completely.
