LS1 swap is it possible to use a 4th gen Tubular K Member for a direct bolt in?

if i were to swap in a LS1 could i use a 4th gen tubular k member that way i dont have to relocate the mounts on the 3rd gen cross member, plus i wanted to use the rack and pinion out of the donar care. if i cant use a 4th gen tubular K ill probably just get a 3rd gen one and modify it.

No, the k-member is completely different.

ThirdGen Resource has LS1 motor mounts that will bolt right to the 3rdgen K-Member (stock or tubular).

one more question.. i had planned to run a tubular K member anyway but then it occured to me that itd be a good idea if i did a ls1 swap cause u have to notch the stock k member for the ac compressor to clear i think. but just to make sure... the LS1 clears the thirdgen tubular k without a problem right, assumin that im using TGRs motor mounts and tranny cross member.

I can't say for sure because I haven't done it and don't of anyone who has. But from the pics I've seen, I would assume you are correct. If I was gonna do an LS1 swap, I'd use a tubular k-mmeber to make life easy.

it LOOKS like it might work... but i would try to take some measurements before you spend the money.
