Looses brakes when hot?

Hi...

Two times have I lost my brakes this summer.

First time after sitting a car line with my foot on the brake for some time... engine at 220 deg..... when I tried to brake the pedal just went down after pumping a couple of times the brakes came back..

Second time, after pushing my car hard to 220 deg the same thing happend again...

Why?

is there anything I can do about it?

thanks/N.

engine temp shouldn't effect brakes. Unless the brake lines are to close to the exhaust and you are boiling the fluid. This is a problem one would run into when racing a road course on insuffecent brakes. THe heat that builds up in the calipers boils the fluid and no more brakes, thus putting air in the line. Also if you have air in the line close to the exaust it would expand making a larger air pocket in the line.
