disc prop valve for drum brakes-WOW waht a difference!!
Alright, car started out as a drum rear, got a disc rear and also installed the disc prop valve as well, but read alot of posts saying it was'nt necessary. Anyway, blew that rear end and got a new one with drum brakes, but since it's mostly a 1/4 beater I did'nt put swapping the prop valve back to drum type high on the list until I got to experiment with it. Holy cow, this car has never had brakes, and I mean NEVER had brakes like it does now. First time I tried them I about went through the windsheild it was that dramatic. Now when I hammer the binders the whole car squats down and stops ASAP, which might be a possible down fall for a daily driver. I'm not sure the actual pressure difference between the 2, but I assume since the whole car squats instead of nose dives that the rear drums are getting a little more pressure than before and could casue a problem in the winter. But for me, this set-up is killer, seems weird to feel your seat fall from under your butt when you mash the brakes.

good to know.. I'm still running the disc brakes with the drum valve... I don't even think I can lock em up... I don't have an e-brake yet either, cause I didn't get the cables with my new rear... maybe I should at least get one of those things, huh?
you could also spend about $40 and get an adjustable valve for summer/winter adjustments if you like the braking power on dry roads... not sure how well those things work, or if they work the way I'm thinking... just an idea.
