LCA bolts

Is it save to use grade 8.8 (metric) bolts for the LCA arms?

the problem is going to be finding a bolt with the correct shoulder on it.

Well here is the bolt I got, it looks very similar to the original. What do you think, good enough?

if it is the same size and shape, it will probably work, thing is, i don't know what grade bold GM uses, or what is needed. although knowing GM they probably used grade 5 or so to save money (we all know the bean counters rule GM). maybe someone will chimb in with what grade bolt GM used.

Axle/Gears: ones that turn.
Just checked on my Formula....it has metric grade 10.9 bolts - the equivalent of SAE grade 8.
I can vouch that they are plenty strong enough...see crash pics in my sig
