Hi - im new on here. I usually talk on Iroczone.com under the same name but was refered her to ask you some questions...

I have an 86 2.8l restored body. I want to know how to add horse to my engine in a cost reducing, efficient way.

It has 128,000 miles on the original engine and i put a vortex dual exhust muffler on it for nice sound but i want to increase my horse. I hear you are pushing 240. What did you do?

Thanks
Paul

I am currently only pushing aprox 150HP out of the crappy 2.8- Am acquiring and custom fabricating parts for a 3.4 buildup that is costing big bucks- I can put a V8 in for less, I don't want a V8- I want to retain a lightweight V6 for handling. The new motor will produce aprox 240HP. I am in no hurry to build it, its just a small side project when I have free time- car runs fine right now with a fairly new crate motor in it. (less than 30K on new GM crate motor).

Sorry, there is no cheap way to get power out of a 2.8
Dean
p.s- check on the V6 board for aftermarket V6 parts- I have listed many links there.
