Need New Front Shocks, What to use

My car needs new front shocks, i'm just wondering if there is somthing a little better than the napa brand replacements I would normally use. I'm not looking to spend too much, and am only doing the front shocks for now my budget is around $300, and I will install them myself so there won't be any labor. Thanks.
This is a 1991 Camaro RS 305tbi, in the order that they go, the engine will be replaced with a 350, and the tranny with a t56.

I'd take a look at Tokico HP or for a few more bucks Tokico Illumina 5's. HP's are great for the street and the Illumina 5's offer 5 position externally adjustable valving which would be great if you plan on any serious driving(on a track).

I've used KYB's on my Fiero and I think that's what the 'Bird is going to get. PST sells 2 shocks and 2 struts for $159.

The KYB's are a tad stiffer and don't seem to bounce as much as stockers...

But if a car really needs new shocks and struts, then anything will be better than what you have.

Yeah, they are really bad, but i'm not even going to see that car again untill october, even then i'm only going to have like 4 days, I have a pretty big list of little things that it needs. I'm going to look into both of those, thanks guys.

i have a set of slightly used koni orange adjustables for sale. 150 includes shipping for the set. they were 300 new.

i have custom valved bilsteins on my car which i love but they were just under 8 for the set.

i use to run gabriels because they were dirt cheap. lasted about 5,000 miles before they began to pogo. i just put a set of kyb's on the grand prix and love them although i've been told they won't hold up much more then 10,000. it all depends on the budget like everything else. when it comes to suspension though you really get what you pay for in the strut department. if you can find a deal used go that route otherwise your going to be replacing very soon or spending some money.

good luck.
