V6 to V8 brakes

V6 to V8 brakes
i did a search and found nothing......does the V6 and V8 cars use a different master cylinder / proportioning valve? ever since i put the 406 in my car the rear brakes love to lock up

My original thinking was perhaps the additional weight of the 406 was just puttin too much strain on the v-6 sized tires. But 235s are decently wide. The additional weight may still have something to do with it. Past that, I don't know how to help you. Which tires are locking?

Nope, v6 and v8 use the same standard braking systems, as long as you're talking about the 82-92 J50 (disk/drum) and 82-88 J65 (4 wheel disc) system.
If you're talking about an upgraded braking package like the PBR rear disc calipers or the special two-piston front calipers, those never came on v6 cars.

found my braking problem , the right rear wheel cylinder is sticking.. should solve problem when i convert the rear to disk...thanks for the info fellas
