roll cage fitment problems
I am in the middle of putting in a 10 point roll cage in from Chassis Engineering. Only the bars that come down from the halo that follow the windsheild pillars to the floor don't fit well at all.
The angle is all wrong and doesn't fit worth a crap. I have tried everything to make in fit right. So right now I am looking to buy a new set of bars from another manufacturer. Just the frount bars and halo, like one of the conversion kits to go from a 6pt to a 8pt. That would give me the bars I need.
Just looking to see if someone had a few pictures of their frount bars on their cage and who made the cage or mabey the mesurements of the bars. Any help would be awsome.
Seriously I have no idea what Chassis engineering was thinking on this one. It looks like bars for a pick-up or something. Most every bar was made oversize which is nice but I have had one bar too short by less than a inch and now this problem of the angle on the frount bars being way off. has anyone put this cage in before from Chassis Engineering? Was yours this bad?
It wouldn't be so bad if I was in the states but I am stationed in italy and I cannot find anywhere tubing of this exact diameter or thickness. I have looked all over. If I could I would get that and find a place to bend it.
Thanks again

Not a cage but I will tell you I used their bolt in ladder bars and SFC. The ladder bars SPECIFICALLY called for Comp Eng SFC's and still didn't line up. There quality sucks, and call them up and see what wonderful help you get. "UH UH OH UH UH WELL that doesn't sound right but without seeing it????UH UH UH." It's like a convo with Slingblade......

Are you running the "A pillar" bars in though the dash or in front of it? Their kit was more than likely designed specifically to run one way or the other. Give 'em a call.
StreetRCR, he's got a Chassis Engineering kit, not a Competition Engineering kit.
