i have a 89 9 bolt with a 3.27 posi, but it is worn.. i have a different carrier from a 9 bolt with a good posi. can i swap it into my housing using my old gears without adjusting backlash or alignment problems with the gears. what are my options,, do i need to have it setup as if i was installing new gears??

 

if you change the carrier, you'll more than likely need to adjust the backlash.
