anybody running koni's?
does anybody out there have koni's red or yellows?
i heard the yellows have a stiffer ride, i was wondering if anybody knows from experience? I'm not sure what level of ride quality to expect. I want something tighter than my 13 year old shocks and struts, but this also is a daily driver, so i would like a little comfort.
thanks

I have Sport Yellows with a Prokit - if the road conditions were perfect it would be OK for a daily driver but the reality is that most roads are badly maintained and with my set-up I feel very bump and pothole - I only drive it weekends and I spend a lot of time trying to avoid things on bad roads - depends where you live but for most people yellows are probably a bit much for everyday use.

How important is it to get adjustable shocks/struts if you are going to lower your car?
All of a sudden your car is 1-2"s lower, reduces the travel length on the shock/strut, also puts it in a different travel location....

I have Koni Yellows, and I think they are great. You will no doubt have a stiff ride, but I don't mind at all. The car just feels connected to the road. I also have stiffer springs and drop spindles, so I don't know what just the Koni's would give you, but If you don't mind a very stiff ride, go with it.

i hate to bring other cars into this thread, but has anyone ever drivin in a 2003 nissan maxima? the ride feels really nice...i dont know what a 3rd gen feels like with upgraded suspension (sfc's, stb's, koni's etc..) but can anyone compare the two? or maybe compare a upgraded 3rd gens suspension to another stock car that feels the same as the third gen with upraged suspension? thanks

Koni says to use the softest setting when you install them. As far as I know the adjustable feature is mainly to compensate as the shock wears - (seen that on a couple of posts on here) - although obviously you can use it to stiffen everything up.
When I installed mine I set the rears on softest and I found that I needed a half turn on the fronts to get it the way I wanted it.
I really like the way that car handles but there's places where I don't like to take it because the roads are crap and it beats the snot out of the car.
