Hi All,
I've searced all over the web including SLP, no one seems to sell a 1le tranny mount anymore. I've also gone to a dealership where they substituted the 1le part no. with a standard tranny mount. Where can you buy 1le tranny mounts?

slp use to sell the harder rubber mounts on their site, but i cant find it either.

you might be better off going poly.

I already have poly and I'm not happy with it. On my '91 that I sold recently the car was a manual with poly tranny mount. I never noticed any additional noise. But the poly in my automatic '91 makes a slight vibration and nasty sound at certain speeds/rpm. I was just hoping to avoid going back to the stock rubber since I have a nasty habit of breaking them. But one way or another the poly has to go.

 

Yeah, I had the same problem when I tried a poly mount in my '89. I couldn't stand the vibration.

Try this, go to a parts store and ask for a tranny mount for an LS1 6spd car. It looks identical to the 1LE mount. Don't know if its made out of the same material though. I picked up one from Oreilly for my '89 and it worked great.
