General maintenance

I am thinking I want to fix up my suspension a little bit by replacing things and checking things to make sure they are all good.
I haven't really looked yet, but I am wanting to replace all the old rubber bushings as a start. Can I buy jsut these bushings or do I need to buy certain pieces with the bushings already on them.
Also, what other things can I check, and how do I check them to make sure my suspension is in working order.

you can buy the control arm bushing seperate, the sway bar bushings are sold as a kit, includes the bolt, nut, washers, and the bushings. trouble with doing it a piece at a time is you need an alignment each time and it's easier to cut old parts off with a torch or grinder and put new in than try to unbolt them, plus you'd be going past the same part several times when you could do it all in one trip

So I should just collect all these parts and then do it all at one time?

Yep, that's what I did. Makes total sense... to replace the control arm bushings, you've gotta take the springs out. To get at the control arm bushings, you've gotta unbolt the strut and spindle (steering knuckle). And when that spindle's off, hey, look, there's the balljoint. Etc, etc...

The worst part is disassembly. Re-assembly is just putting the new stuff in.

If you don't mind me asking...how much did that whole rebuild end up costing you.

to save money, you can buy all the bushings together as a kit...

look in the catalog at www.summitracing.com
