panhard bar or diagnol link? strongest
panhard bar or diagnol link? strongest
I am going to install a 4 link suspension in my convertible. The primary use for the car will be street use but it will find an occasional weekend at the auto crosses. I want this car to corner like it is on rails, and have no play at all in the rear. I am trying to decide whether to use a panhard bar or a diagnol link. I would prefer to use the diagnol link, as its geometry will not result in bump steer, and I think they look a little cleaner. However I am not sure of the diagnol links strength in a corner with the car pulling near 1 g. If anyone has experience with this or is engineer minded I would thourghly appreciate comments or suggestions from anyone.
Thanks in advance.

all that work, you might consider a watts link.
i have been racking my brain, and if i am on the same boat as you, you will still have some bump steer with a diagnal link (i assume you mean 5link since you are adding that in.) a watts link would eliminate that completely. and is super trick
alot of the road racing stang guys convert to watts link for their lateral stability peice.
