Why would the size of the rim matter?

This depends on alot of things. 1st. What car and what height is it at now? I assume an fbody. So lets say its stock w/ 16x8's and a 50 profile...just say'n. Now when he goes up to 18"rims, he can compensate by dropping down to a lower profile. I recommend 40 or 35. So therefore you have niehter gained or lost more fenderwell gap then what you had before. So mount the rims and tires and take it from there.
