+35 Offset Wheels
Could I make rims with a +35 offset fit on my '84 Firebird? If so would I need spacers? And could anyone explain what +35 means and what problems arise when not using spacers? Thanks guys!!! I searched and couldn't find my exact answer

Yes you would need spacers. +35 means its a 35 mm positive offset. Your tie rods would most likely rub on the rim if you get even get them on.

Not quite that large, unless you meant 1.75-2" then that would be correct. Heres a informative website that will help you. http://www.skulte.com/adapterfaq.html

well ive done quite a bit of searching/learning and you can run a variety of spacers (some will fit better than others). rim diameter and width play a role. i contact someone selling a set of 19" 8.5 and 9.5 wide +35mm offset rims and they said i would need a 1.5" spacer. i have a 1 1/4" that i will try and use. if that doesnt work ill just take the measurements from there an buy different spacers.
