Brace from IROC-Z, what is this?
I found an IROC-Z in the bone yard, and snatched the Wonderbar for my Formula. I also noticed a thin brace that runs from the right (passenger) hood hindge to the cowl (firewall). None of the other F-bodys in the yard (or mine) have this. What is it? It is about the diamater of a pencil and maybe a foot long, flattened on both ends with a hole for mounting. Curious as to what it does as I went ahead and bought it. Might be junk but for $5.25 for both wonderbar and mystery pencil bar, I don't feel too bad

I have done a bit of research and appearantly this brace was used on 82 - 92 Camaros with FE2 suspension and 91 - 92 Firebirds. Thanks to my friend at the Chevy dealership for looking this up. Still not sure what it does, but at least I know why it isn't on every Third gen.
