V6 to V8 suspension upgrade

Hi everyone,

I've a friend who's an 82 Firebird which has had the V6 removed and a 327 V8 installed. His car feels rather unstable at speed, and I was wondering if there was a difference in the springs used in V6 powered cars compared to V8 cars.

Anyone know?

Thanks
