tire and rim help

ok, I have a set of 275/40/17's. I need rims. I found some that are 17x9. Bead to Bead measures 9.5 on my tires. Would I get too much sidewall deflection for autocross/road racing? Should I get rims with a 9.5 rim width?

the 4th gen WS6/SS cars come with 275/40/R17's on 17x9 rims - I used mine for a couple driving schools doing high-speed road courses without issue.

I have a 275/40 on a 17x9 rim and the handeling is amazing.

Re: tire and rim help

I bought Nitto NT555 G2 Summer UHP Radial 315/35R17 for the rear and 255/45ZR17 for the front. What rim/wheel offset, backspacing dimensions do you recommend for these with 17x11 and 17x9.5?
