Spohn SFC design question.
I’ve been researching SFC’s for a bit now and have narrowed it down to Alston and/or Spohn. I like them both and will probably end up getting both but...
I read a post somewhere about somebody bending the passenger side “Y” connector on the Spohn’s to get a better weld on the frame rail portion of the SFC .
Has anybody ever thought about or mentioned welding a small piece of whatever to the “Y” connector for a more solid connection to the frame rail part SFC?
Kind of like this…

Lots of people have made simple decisions in helping out the spohn SFC's. A for instance, the guy who did my SFCs (spohns) originally intended to reinforce BOTH of the smaller support bars. I have also heard of people getting smaller diameter bolts and placing them tucked into the SFC against the underside of the car and welding those in too - like this _Oo_
Not much room to really mess anything up - I would say go for it couldn't hurt, likely help.
