I want to make my own SBC for my 84 Z28 (355 in her now
I did a search and got like 10 pages, i did find some info, but what i would like would be a list of things i will need to buy, i think i want the square type SBC's. Also any pics and diagrams/dimensions would be a *** sent. If you guys have plans for making them please share the love Thanks.

all you need is a basic metal working tools and some material. you don't need demensions or plans, jack you car up, get under it and pull a tape and you'll have your measurements, if you want a plan draw it on a piece of paper. you don't need to work for NASA to make SFCs they just attach and connect point A to point B. if you need a few ideas look in catalogs at how they look. i made mine with no plans, only a idea or two, took maybe 8 hours start to finish and cost 30 dollars for material for 2 sets.

So will the SFC's just connect the front and rear subframes, or are there 2 connections i need to make on each side of the car?

i made mine sort of a two rail deal and split the outter rail to sort of a Y and tied the the outter to the inner rail and ran a brace to the trans cross member area. you can do anything you want, or you can do a lot of differant things. jack the car up get under it and look around and think about what you'd like and want to do.
