Power steering pump
I was wondering if there was a diference between the IROC/GTA power steering pumps and the regular RS/firebird/formula/Z28 pumps. I heard that the IROC/GTA had different ratios which allowed them to turn faster. I performed a search and didn't find what I was looking for. Thanks
The power steering pumps are all the same IIRC. now the power steering box has different ratios. I dont know exactly what cars came with the higher ratio for quicker turning, but i know i got mine out of a 92 z28.

its like the same p/s pump gm used on a lot of stuff for a long time. This weekend im getting rid of my leaky pump with a pump from a 455ci electra (late 70's). The only difference is the bracketry. But anyway the only changes in thirdgen pumps would be the pulley, if it were from a v-belt or serpentine setup.
