Sfc Vs No Sfc
My dad had an camaro that would just grip the road like no other, never would roast tires, it just grip and go. Then he added SFC's and it would spin all over the place, when there were no SFC's almost seemed as tho the car would conform to the road, lots of traction.
I have no SFC's on my car, but i plan to put them on. Just wondering if I dont care about noises, do sfc's really seem to help things, or if i leave my car without, what other problems will I have except noise?
Mind you my engine puts out around 350Hp, Thanks fellas

First off yes it does matter. Especially if you want your car to have any structural integrity. SFCs let the suspension do the work instead of the body. They can only help you. Your fathers car was probably twisting due to the torque and the car was flexing instead of the tires breaking loose. Now that his chassis is tight the suspension has to do the work of getting the power to the ground. Try relocation brackets and new RCAs.
BTW- 350BHP or HP? Do you have a dyno sheet or is this your "Guesstimation". Seems like everyone has exactly 350 horsepower around here.

sfc add a ton of strength to the car. i would recommend them for any 3rd gen, just to correct the crappy unibody design. if your engine is making that much power, you will start to notice the effects of it in the body, and how the doors shut, etc. without sfc.

Your car without SFC's is a wet noodle. I put the Kenny Brown SFC's on mine and it was night and day difference. My car is a hardtop, too.

i noticed the same thing on the 82.... it seemed to spin em easier after the SFCs were on.... then i took it to the track and realized the 60's were almost exactly the same, its just that the car wasnt twisting anymore, the suspension had to work more...
a lil suspension tweekin later, and i had lower 60's then ever before.
dont ask me what they were though.. it was a few years ago, and i dont remember, but i remember it helped.... car turned better too... didnt make noise on rough roads, ect...
they should have put em on from the factory... :lala:
