Proportioning valve problem
Proportioning valve problem
I'm in the middle of installing a 4th gen rear in my car and started to put in the wilwood valve. The only problem is that my car has metric brake lines and the FAQ is for standard. Will standard nuts fit on a metric line without leaking?

You can get adapters ( From a good Automotive jobber ) that go from 1\8" pipe to Metric flare. No big deal. You can get these in a Metric thread with double inverted flare style or the ISO bubble style depending on what you require. May take a bit of searching , but they are available. Check out Import shops that work on Japanese Race cars if your Automotive jobber is no good.
If you have a double flaring tool and you know how to use it properly, then you can put a Standard flare nut on a Metric line.
I've done this on Datsun Race cars many a time. Not a biggy...just make sure that the Metric lines and SAE fitting used are fairly close to the same inside and outside diameter. A " slight " difference is size is acceptable....just make sure that the flare is properly formed and that the nut is sufficiently secured.
Edit: Nuts...I didn't notice all the other threads that " stupid4901" had started. Hint...stick to the same thread. Add a post with the word " bump" if you don't get an answer right away. Umpteen posts on the same subject just makes things confusing.
