Adjustable control arms, whats the piont?

Other than the fact that they look cool, and are stronger than the stock stamped ones, why make them adjustable? I mean why would you need to move the rear end postion? The way I see it is if you dont have a way to adjust the length of the torque arm you cant move the rear much. And if you do it will make the car track all goofy. I'm not sure if this makes any sense to you all, but if some one could give me a clue..........

Can make alighnment easier, esp if the car has ever been wrecked.

Can shorten the wheelbase, making the car turn easier.

If lowered, can help adjust axle forwards/backwards to properly set the geometrics.

shorten the wheel base?lol Like I said how can you shorten the wheel base if you cant adjust the length of your torque arm? You could make one side more forward, and one side back. And as far as lowering goes, I dont think that lowering changes the position of the axle. Well I guess it does if you have a stock length panhard bar, because it will let the axle move to one side, but not forward or back. Not trying to argue, but it seems like a worthless mod. well I mean the adjustable aspect, the stronger tubing construction is the only benifit that I see. Edit: Now that I think about it you can adjust the length of the stock topque arm, because of the "slip joint" type end of the arm that meets the rubber trans mount. But personally I wouldnt shorten my wheel base, it would look fruity. anyway....

you can center your wheels in the wheel openings.

When you lower the car the axle moves up n forwards unless you get the relocation brackets. Then its just up.

Torqe arm slips forward.

When you autocross, every thing counts. You can adjust your bars in and get an extra 1" less in your wheelbase can make alot of difference in cornoring.

Daily driving, its really useless.

Build the car for your needs.
