I need a wheel hop lesson
Im trying to understand the physics behind wheel hop.
I have just about every suspension upgrade you can think of for drag racing and my car wheel hops so bad that I am breaking axle shafts. Im literally afraid to dump the clutch.
I have had the wheelhop for awhile now.. I cant really figure how long. It wasnt always there.
I have a global west torque arm
comp engineering aluminum lca bushings
Spohn lca lowering brackets in the bottom hole.
air lift air bags
nitto drag radials
powertrax locker
no front sway bar
relocated battery
no front crash beam.. lots of weight taken out of the front end
the car has excellent weight transfer and its seems to hit the tires rediculously hard the instant i let off the clutch. Depending on conditions it will either instantly start wheelhopping with a violence that can best be described as frightening, or, as of late, spin smoothly and then start wheelhopping.
I have the sense that my LCAs are the culprit because the aluminum bushings dont fit in them correctly, they are sliding in the lca rather than on the bolt
another thing may be my rear sway bar bushings which are shot.. New LCAS and bushings are on the way. IM hoping it cures it
But anyways I can understand how a leaf spring car wheelhops but in our cars it would seem like something is deflecting wildly for it to happen... Is that it?

a video would be VERY helpful.
my first guess is not enough spring/shock out back. but a video tape would confirm that, or disprove it.
