you would need to get one, possibly have it shortend to the correct width, then have brackets welded on the tubes so you could bolt it up... then machine some kind of torque arm adapter so you can connect that...
but thats alot easier said then done... thats why theres aftermarket ones like you mentioned..
if you dont have the skill or tools to make it, you could get just the housing and axles from them, and then pull a 9" from the 'yard and do it that way... save ya a few hund...

if you are wanting a 12 bolt that will fit length-wise in a 3rd gen you will need to get one from a 64-66 el camino,66-72 nova,or a 67-69f-body,then you will need to have your 3rd gen spring pads welded onto this 12 bolt and call summers brothers to get the bracket craddle that mounts the torque arm,you should be able to get this set up under your car for 400.00 then add your gear and posi unit of choice...

You can also use a 9" Ford rearend from a '67-68 Mustang and make all the modifications to it that gen3z mentioned above.
I've had one in my garage for years with the intention of putting it in my car. The torque-arm bracket won't be necessary in my case because I'm using a South Side Machine rear suspension.

the only reason i never mention the 9"is its quite heavy and the rolling resistance in this rear will slow your car down you need to add roughly 50hp to run the same e.t.,unless of course you purchase the strange eng.3rd member that uses the gm 12bolt gears so now you have spent nearly 1600.00 on this unit, passed the budget for me!
