Wild Steering
My IROC has been a bear to drive since I bought it. I just haven't had the time or money to get started on the project yet.
My latest question is...
My car's steering seems to be really loose/lazy. I have done some tests on the brakes and they don't seem to be grabbing or pulling. The problem really is that the steering is just plain loose.
As I'm driving down the road, I can literally feel a "void" when turning the wheel from side to side. I can feel when the wheel is actually turning the car. Its too early for me this morning so I'm trying as best I can to describe this problem.
Anyhoo - Any ideas? I've already tightened the nut on the steering box as per posts I've searched through.

Just look at all the pieces while somebody shakes the wheel from sided to side, and find the slop.
Center link, idler arm, rod ends, rag joint are where I'd concentrate.
