bought 92rs, stock wheel spacer? wtf?

Axle/Gears: 02 SS Rear with 3.23 Gears
bought 92rs, stock wheel spacer? wtf?
i just got a 92 rs while i'm building my 89 rs, i just put new brakes all around this weekend. on the back however, the right rear tire had aspacer aporox. around 5/16 thick. is this suppoed to be there? now other spacers were on the car, just that one. please let me know, really worried on this one....... thanks

sorry, that was the only spacer on the car (NO others, hehe, too earle to be at work)

Some cars with rear drums and 16 inch wheels had spacers on both sides--that said, my 85 IROC with rear discs had them as well.

I assume that's correct. Chilton's claims the spacers are used with cast iron, but GM did some strange things.
