Cutting Slotted Rotors

I have slotted rotors on the front of my car. I was wondering if I was able to cut them the same way that I would cut normal rotors, even though they have slots in them. Please let me know becuase this will help me out greatly.

I dont' see why you couldn't machine them, as the blade stays at the one setting. But I am not 100% sure either mind you.

you mean cutting the slots all the way through? if so, you can do it, but you are more apt to warp your rotors if they are staock size. also, the slots are more than enough to reomove the gas that forms between the pad and the rotor, and also clean the pad no diff than the through sloted rotors.

also, you can have them turned if need be, but only with the accurcut time laith , because conventional laiths drag the blade there for draging the metal off, which if gaps are present, will cause the laith blade to chatter giving an iregular grind.

the accurcut laith blade actually cuts rather than drags, so the surface having gaps does not affect it as much, and also gives a cleaner and smoother surface. most gm dealers have the accurcut type laith.

thanks
