16s on 82 will put added stress on strut towers. Why?
I was told this, and I'm wondering what the difference in design is from all other years. I wanted 16s, but I would need a wonder bar(which I should get anyways) and an stb. Which no one makes for my LG4 setup currently. My options would be to beg George Lara to make one, or wait for spohns.
Another question. Whats the widest tire I could fit on a 7 inch wheel?

No difference in design on the strut towers between 82 and 92. Wider tires put more stress on components because they grip better. But its nothing any 3rd gen shouldn't handle.
On a 7" rim, I used to run 235s. I wouldn't go any wider else handling would suffer.
You could always put on a serpentine belt drive like the TBIs have and use an Edelbrock TBI STB.

I have 17x8 's on my 1982 Z28 w/ 255 series tires...
Frot end mods:
wonder bar
George lara STB
hotckkis tie rod sleves
36 MM front sway bar
eibach springs
etc. etc.
BUT yes your front end will take a 16 NO PROBLEM! :lala:
