Should I do this now??

I'm planning on swapping in a 350 later on. I have a '90 3.1 mpfi w/ auto now. I'm going to do a front end suspension rebuild, lca's and brackets out back, got a ls1 driveshaft to put in, shocks/struts/springs are going to go in too. For a torque arm, which mount is better? Trans Mount, or the one that has the whole Trans crossmember (or that's what it looks like)? Spohn will be the choice for the majority of these parts. Well, if I get the Torque arm now, will it work w/ my trans, as well as the V8 trans? I'm sticking w/ Auto in both cases. If I FINALLY decide on a LS1 swap, would it work w/ the 4L60E trans? If I stick w/ a TPI engine and a 700R4, will it work w/ my 6 and the 8?

Thanks for clearning this up.

Yes it will work with all of the above except maybe the LS1 swap. Ask Spohn for details.

It's better to get the kind that doesn't attach to the trans.

Thanks! I'll get the one that goes to the frame, not the trans...I'll ask Spohn for more details.

Thanks a lot!!

Next time try putting the subject of your question in the subject line! "should I do this now??" doesn't mention the subject of your question.

Si.

You need an "intriguing" subject line, otherwise, no one opens the thread to see what it is...
