shocks are shot

I have an 83 firebird and Im pretty sure my shocks are shot. My car bottoms out way to much up front over certain bumps and the shocks are also over 20 years old. Can someone point me to some decent shocks I can get online. I dont need something like "super performance shocks," just some decent ones to replace stock ones. Thanks.

Try a search to see what everyone likes. Many people get KYB's just for the reasons you listed. I belive you can get all four for under 400. You may also want to only buy 2 fronts and look for two slightly used rear shocks off a 4th gen. Many guys have only a few miles on shocks before they replace them due to lowering or other needs.

Just don't get Monroe's. I did when I had my '91 RS and I regretted it up until I sold the car...
