Front Tire Wear, Gimme an opinion

Okay my front tires are wearing on the outside edge of the tread. From reading online and the Chiltons Manual, I have concluded it's probably my toe in setting. I also noticed when I make u-turns I get some front wheel hop if I turn the steering wheel to lock. I am planning on swapping some ball joints and whatever else looks bad, as I have all that on my part car, and I know it is realitively new. Just worried about when I do the swap, will I be able to do alignment, or drive it somewhere that can do alignment. I may also replace the strut Mounts as the ones in my part car may be in better shape also.

I have never done alignment before, but I was wondering how easily it could be done. Is it something I could do at home easily? What tools do I absolutely need? How much will these tools cost?

Thanks for the help, as this is my first real look into suspension and steering.

If it were me I would take my car to a shop that does alignments. I trust their work more than I would trust my own alignment work. Also they have all of the tools to do the job right the first time. Some people on here will tell you that it is not that hard though so whatever.

likely your camber is off. what year car is it? later cars have slightly different strut mounts that allow a little more caster. This sems to be a common problem with 3rd gens and the only solution i know of is to modify the mounts to allow more negative camber or get the Spohn/alloy mounts
