polyurethane ends or rod ends? Is it worth the $$$ for mostly non-race applications

poly is a step better than the stock rubber stuff, so i went with mostly poly stuff for my daily drive / drag racer. no regrets

don't think there is any street type application where you'd want a solid rod end.

I would go with the poly ends for the street. If you get just solid rod ends, you will notice a lot of vibration coming from the drivetrain.
