SSBC 2 piston bolt on brake kit
SSBC 2 piston bolt on brake kit
does anyone have any experience with this kit, i see they sell it for 385 and its a direct bolt on for non 1le cars , they are twin piston, are they any good, i have to put new rotors on the car this year and i was gonna put cross drilled and slotted ones and then maybe the calipers.

They've been discussed before and probably would be a good option if you just wanted to upgrade calipers. HOWEVER, I wouldn't spend my money on them. The reason is that you don't change the size of the rotor which is where you'd get better braking performance. If you don't get a larger rotor, you don't change the braking leverage ratio and therefore, all you'd get is more heat. If you get these calipers, you'd need better pads and rotors to get the increased performance you'd want.
My advice: Take the $350 or so these calipers (only the calipers!) cost and put that money into a budget upgrade: C4, C5, or LS1, or put it toward a "Big Brake" upgrade like Spohn offers. Increasing the rotor size is the only way to really get more out of the brakes.
