Common frame problem with thirdgens?

Well I was always wondering why my steering system felt so crappy. It would make a whole lotta noise when I move the wheel. The steering would make the wheels turn the same amount. Also some other problems that I noticed. Well today I started to strip down the 91 to get ready to finish the 84 Camaro and I looked at hte steering system and found this....

As you can see there are three large rips in the frame. It was so bad that if I move one of the wheels the frame would actually seperate from each other! the steering box would move around as it pleased inside of hte engine bay. My brother says that he heard this is actually a problem with some thirdgens when driven hard (road racing) Is this true? He said he saw something online that solves this problem but forgot what company made it. Does anyone know of this part? thanks.

woahhhh.....thats not like a little tear in the metal either. Drifting kills!!! haha anyway i know on the 80s chevy trucks they have that same problem with lifted trucks and there is a steering brace to reinforce it. Don't know if it will work on our cars though, never actually seen one in person to see if it would fit.

I have a wonderbar O_o haha...I was expecting something else. Maybe some other brace...anyways looking at it again I'll just fabricate some extra bracing in that area. Probably also seam weld up the front frame.
